Casting/Show Info: Pericles

Courtesy of The Rude Mechanicals's Facebook Page
I am happy to announce that I have been cast as Thaisa in Shakespeare's Pericles. This is a production by The Rude Mechanicals that is actually entitled Pericles: The Good Parts Version.

I had not read the play until recently, and it is now one of my favorite of Shakespeare's works. It has shipwrecks and fights to win the maiden and death and honor and a beautiful ending. If you aren't familiar with Pericles, this is a great chance to see it for the first time!

Presenting at SETC This Week

At the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) in Chattanooga this Saturday, March 7, I will be presenting a paper I wrote entitled "The Effect of Acting on Actors". The paper was selected as the graduate winner of the Young Scholars Award. I am excited to share this topic with others, as I think it is so important for us to start understanding more about how our characters shape our character, and about how to thrive as healthy actors, doing great work while leading rich lives.
